Holds a single true/false value. This is the type to use for anything that's fundamentally a flag or status bit — a robot's "queue empty" signal, a machine's running/stopped state, a connector's own %CONNECTED/%HEARTBEAT status.
true or false.
When a raw value comes in from a device that has no native boolean type (many PLCs and robot controllers only have integers), a numeric 0 is read as false and any non-zero number as true.
BoolTag supports one Transform:
| Transform | Effect |
|---|---|
| NOT | Inverts the value — true becomes false and vice versa. |
NOT takes no argument; entering either NOT or NOT() in the Transform field works.
Example: a device reports 1 when a door is open, but you want the tag to represent "door closed" instead. Setting Transform to NOT flips it so the tag reads true when the door is actually closed.
BoolTag doesn't use Type Attributes — the field has no effect if set.
